We practice holistic grazing methods and our herds are left to graze freely as nature intended, on 70,000 acres of beautiful land on the banks of the Burdekin River.

All of our animals are completely free of any dips, fly sprays, drenches, hormone growth promotants or injections of any type.

Jervoise is unique in that we run a completely integrated organic business where we are in control of the genetics, the feeding, the nurturing, and the processing of the end product.

Animal welfare is paramount at Jervoise. Our stock is handled quietly from weaning, we treat them with the respect and appreciation they deserve, and we use low stress animal handling methods at all times.

Jervoise Station, north-west of Townsville in Far North Queensland, is a 70,000 acre, fully certified organic property. The station was purchased in 1965 and since then has been farmed by four generations of Jonsson’s.

The switch to organic, holistic grazing was initiated in 1979 by Greg Jonsson, who even then could see the damage that chemicals were doing to the land and wanted better for his children and his farming practices.

Jervoise Station currently has a heard of about 5,000 Santa/Brahman cross cattle and has been certified organic since 1996.

Jervoise produce a full range of 100% Australian organic beef products for the domestic market. Our meat is completely free of added hormones and antibiotics and comes from cattle who graze freely on our own certified organic property. Our cattle are never finished in feedlots or on grain.



All of our certified organic chickens are grown at Bendele Organic Farm, situated 45kms north-west of Gympie. Bendele is owned by Fred and Sarah Sterns, covering approximately 70 hectares it is ideal for raising their chickens, ducks and turkeys.


Our certified organic pork comes from Stannary Hill Organics, 40kms south-west of Mareeba. Stannary Hill is owned by Graham and Jan Godfrey, where they run their large Black/Duroc cross pigs amongst their certified organic produce.

Our free range goats are grown and sourced from out west near Greenvale. We prefer these western goats for their flavour and fat content, giving them a superior taste.

All of our certified organic lamb comes from Silverwood Station, 65kms south-east of Longreach. Silverwood is owned by Andrew and Maree King, where they run their Dorper lambs over 17,700 hectares of natural grain pastures.
